This site quotes the KJV exclusively (see CONTENT_GUIDE.md); the word “prevent” below is a good example of why the optional glosses attribute exists — in 1611 English it means “precede,” not “stop,” which is exactly the kind of word a modern reader would misread rather than just find old-fashioned:

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Context

Isaiah wrote this several centuries before the events it describes, as part of a larger passage about a servant who suffers on behalf of others.

Fulfillment

The Gospels record Jesus of Nazareth crucified, having committed no crime, in the place of the guilty.

Why It Matters

A prediction this specific, made centuries in advance and fulfilled in detail, is evidence worth taking seriously rather than dismissing as coincidence.

That’s the whole test. If the quote box (with “prevent” showing a dotted underline that reveals its meaning on hover), the prophecy card, both headings, the dek, the related list, and the next-step link all look correct, the skeleton is working.
